Elsewhere

Have you ever wanted to be anywhere else instead of the dump you live in? Those are the feelings of Jillian, better known as "Da Bitch," until she dissapears and her best friend Sarah has to go looking for her.

"Elsewhere," is a thriller about a teenage girl who dissapears after trying to meet a secret admirer who she met online on something similar to myspace (and that's why we have all switched over to facebook...right?).

Somehow Sarah--the protagonist and the missing girl's best friend--finds out that her friend's dissapearance is somehow related to a similar case that happened over 5 years ago. The movie then progresses as Sarah and Jasper--the dorky computer whiz kid who has a crush on her--investigate her friend's dissapearance to try to get to the bottom of the mystery.

In my opinion this movie wasn't all that great...not really scary, but then again there really aren't that movies that really scare me. The movie actually isn't all that bad when it starts, and it seems that it could turn out to be a half-decent thriller. However, as the movie progresses the tension doesn't really increase all that much and the whole mystery behind the dissapearances starts becoming blatantly obvious.

I wouldn't really recommend watching this move unless you have nothing better to do--like I did the night I actually watched it--but then again this kind of movie might be appealing to the teenage crowd, especially girls...so if you decide to watch, have fun I guess!

My official rating...2/5!
